The "warring dreamlines" stayed with me. How each note is an escape route on the same drab train - neroli lifting you off work heels, musk saying that lover never left.

What a very cool depiction of how scents carry us to far away place right there in our room!

Louise I. Baker's avatar

Exactly that- far away. That is their power. Thank you so much, Laura.

Perfume comparisons are always fun because everyone experiences scents differently. What works for one person might not be the perfect match for another.

Beautiful poetry! I too feel like I "survive on perfume, on coffee, on forced hope." At least perfume gives me something to write (and read!!) about :)

Oh my what a joy to meet you on here, Tara. So look forward to learning from you. Thank you so much for reading this little poem!

Sometimes choosing between two amazing perfumes is the hardest part. Each scent has its own personality, mood, and story to tell.

A perfume clash happens when too many strong scents compete at once. Finding the right balance helps each fragrance shine without becoming overwhelming.

Gorgeous I want to reach for perfume immediately even though it’s time to sleep here!
